Day Mortuary was established in 1913 by Arthur Day. In 1954, they moved from their downtown location to their present location of 4150 E. 3rd St., Bloomington IN. In 1947, Bill Apple, along with Steve and Gail Campbell, became partners in the business. Jerry Ellenwood bought Steve and Gail Campbell’s part of the business in 1966, and Jerry Ellenwood and Bill Apple were then partners. Please visit the new Day Funeral Home that opened in May of 2002. Day can now say that they are the oldest & newest funeral home in Bloomington.
